1. How did you pick a song for your first dance?
Kate was watching some late-night comedian’s breakdown of the top-10 best songs of all time and “Kiss” was near the top of the list. Something struck a chord with Kate, and when she lobbed the idea to Pearson it was an instant “yes.”
2. What was the most important requirement for your wedding dance?
That we were able to learn it!! (We did not have much prior dance experience 🙈)
3. How many months in advance did you start? Did you have a dance experience before?
We started a few months in advance because we had zero prior dance experience, and we were travelling quite a bit so we missed a few weeks practice here and there.
4. What was the biggest challenge for you preparing the dance and how did you overcome it?
Remembering the steps! But that’s easy–practice, practice 🙂
5. Did you feel comfortable on the dance floor on the day of the wedding?
Totally! Champagne helps too 🥂
6. Tell our future couples what to expect from the wedding dance on the day of!
You’ll never dance for an easier crowd, so just smile, boogie, and have fun with it!
7. How did you feel after the performance on the day of?
So happy that we had learned our dance together! Our friends and family
were all very surprised and complimentary.
8. What advice can you give to the couples?
Worth it!!!!!!
9. Are you going to dance after the wedding? 🙂
Absolutely! But we’re going to start up in the fall–more travel to do for now 💃
