Amount of Lessons:  10 H
Song:  “Love You For  Long Time” by Maggie Rogers

1. How did you pick a song for your first dance?

We are both musically inclined and we wanted a song that meant a lot to us but also wasn’t overdone. We picked “Love you for a long time” by Maggie Rogers.

2. What was the most important requirement for your wedding dance?

We are not particularly flashy people so we did not want to have an elaborate, hyper-choreographed dance. We wanted something that was fun and genuine to us so we wouldn’t just sway in front of everyone.

3. How many months in advance did you start? Did you have a dance experience before?

Our wedding was April 26th, 2025 and we started in the beginning of January 2025. Sydney had some dance experience as a child but that was it.

4. What was the biggest challenge for you preparing the dance and how did you overcome it?

Time management was the hardest part of it when you are working full time and also planning a wedding. Like the dance classes, it is important to set aside time for yourselves to practice.

5. Did you feel comfortable on the dance floor on the day of the wedding?

We did! Our song is a little more upbeat than other songs and I feel like our DJ slowed it down a little bit, which also made it a bit easier. We felt well-rehearsed despite the crazy day and we don’t think it could have gone any better!

6. Tell our future couples what to expect from the wedding dance on the day of!

Be prepared and comfortable enough to do your dance without any prior practice that day – there are a lot of other things that will preoccupy you!

7. How did you feel after the performance on the day of?

We were very happy with our performance.

8. What advice can you give to the couples?

Don’t listen to anyone else and do what is best for you in terms of your dance/wedding in general :).

9. Are you going to dance after the wedding? 🙂

We definitely intend to dance again in the future!
